Guaranteeing Services in MPLS Virtual Networks - the Case of File Transfer Type Traffic.

Network administrators continue to create technologies and update existing ones to improve the quality of service, reliability, and “customization” of data networks. The standards have continually improved connectivity quality and reliability and have occasionally given the ability to tailor “best effort” connectivity quality for various users or deployment cases. There is a designed subset of these standards that provides some kind of guarantee of service (GoS) to end users who are willing to pay, either expressly or implicitly. This paper contributes to the analysis of file transfer traffic in Multi-protocol Label Switching (MPLS) networks from a Guarantee of Service point of view.
