NeuXus open-source tool for real-time artifact reduction in simultaneous EEG-fMRI

•Simultaneous EEG-fMRI recordings suffer from severe artifacts on the EEG.•Real-time analyses allow neurofeedback training and monitoring.•NeuXus real-time artifact reduction tool is fast and applicable to any EEG-fMRI setup.•NeuXus uses an LSTM network to detect R peaks in ECG and reduce the pulse artifact.•NeuXus performs at least as well as state-of-the-art commercial online and offline tools.
