Steatotic liver disease as a new nomenclature for NAFLD from the perspectives of the MENA region: One size fits all this time

We read with interest the recently issued multi-society endorsement of the new nomenclature of what was formerly known as fatty liver disease, introducing the new terminology steatotic liver disease (SLD) as an overarching term encompassing different causes of steatosis. 1 Rinella M.E.
