Thin film biosensors for medical diagnostics: Journey so far

The medical system is experiencing a critical shift from a conventional in-patient treatment system to an individual specific procedures and framework. Thin film based wearable sensors have become increasingly common in healthcare and biomedical domain for last couple of decades. The ongoing developments with bio thin films in development of wearable sensor-based systems has the power to redefine, reshape and revolutionize the modern health care system. This paper records a thorough and holistic overview of technologies, latest developments and future roadmap of thin film based wearable biosensor for healthcare applications.
