Fabrication of sensor technology using thin films for biosensing, agricultural and environmental applications

The thin film is a good choice for building a biosensor system, a small analytical device with high sensitivity, label-free detection, and a fast reaction time. All of these characteristics are strongly tied to the film thickness films employed in the sensor's manufacture. The biological analyte's interaction with the surface-modified film is the main factor in a biosensor's detection method. The thin film functions as a physicochemical transducer, converting the signal from recognizing the biochemical analyte into another quantifiable signal. Despite the fact that the thin film sensor has many advantages, the limitations limit the TFT sensor's employment in the environmental and agricultural fields. The functions of thin films in biosensor applications will be surveyed in this chapter. The various thin films utilized to create biosensors will next be described. Following that, strategies for generating thin films on sensitive layers for biological analyte adsorption will be demonstrated, along with agricultural and environmental applications. Finally, current events will be discussed.
