Calculation and comparison of HTS electromagnetic characteristics with different models

Abstract
•H-formulation and T-A formulation are mainly two principal formulations applied to the finite element method to analyze the electromagnetic characteristics of HTS materials and devices. It is necessary to verify and to conduct a comparison of different effects of element order, mesh number along the width, and thickness expansion, with regard to calculation efficiency and accuracy under H model and T-A model respectively. Analysis of different models has been presented in detail. The optimal configurations of different models have been verified to meet the need of large-scale HTS equipment design in terms of calculation efficiency and accuracy.
