摘要
•Morphology and biomolecular composition of brain tissue change during glioblastoma multiforme growth.•Vibrational spectroscopy methods allow to follow biochemical alterations caused by tumor development.•Levels of lipids and compounds containing carbonyl groups are diminished within the area of glioma.•Glioblastoma multiforme growth causes changes in the secondary protein structure.•Observed biochemical abnormalities are characteristic for particular animal model of brain tumor.
