Abstract
Random telegraph signals (RTSs) affect the performance of electronic devices such as photodiodes and transistors. The presence of this phenomenon in HgCdTe detectors has been reported in the past. These detectors are often used in space missions to observe the infrared spectrum and, in this context, are subjected to the space radiation environment. This study analyzes the increase and origins of the RTS phenomenon in a HgCdTe focal plane array (FPA) following proton irradiation.
