Morphological and Molecular Characterization of Strobilurus albipilatus from Jammu and Kashmir, India

During routine macrofungal surveys in various temperate coniferous forests of district Doda in the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, India, we made an interesting collection of genera Strobilurus . After thorough literature review, morphological examinations and phylogenetic analysis, our species was found to be conspecific with Strobilurus albipilatus . We present the genus and the species for the first time from India with detailed morphological description, illustration and phylogenetic analysis.
