Abstract
COVID-19-related acute macular neuroretinopathy rapidly increased in the pandemic surge in China in December 2022. Possible risk factors and pathophysiological mechanisms including inflammatory responses, vascular factors, and sex hormones have been discussed. Multimodal imaging revealed structural damage and vascular deficits in the retina and choroid, which warrants continuous observation.
