摘要
From the end of the 18(th) century, the philosophy of Immanuel Kant was part of the reflections on European philosophy in Slovakia. They were realized particularly thanks to professors of philosophy at the Evan-gelical College in Presov (M. Gregus, A. Vandrak, M. Szlavik), at the Uni-versity of Trnava (A. Jaslinsky, J.B. Horvat) and at the Catholic Academy in Kosice (S. Tichy). Already at the turn of the 18(th) and 19(th) centuries, some members of the so-called "learned societies ", especially the "Learned So-ciety of Malohont " (M. Steigel and G. Sulek), or representatives of con-temporary Hungarian philosophy (J. Rozgonyi), informed about Kant's work. In Slovakia, especially Kant's gnoseology was presented critically, which, together with his rejection of "old " metaphysics, was perceived as an "attack " on the foundations of the Christian religion itself. In rare cases, however, efforts to adapt to Kant's views, especially in the field of teaching aesthetics and ethics, were presented. All reflections of Kant's work in Slo-vakia contributed to the cultivation of philosophical thinking in this area.
