Abstract
Co-conversion of CO2 and CH4 is an important means to control environmental pollution and alleviate energy crisis effectively, and it is an important topic in the field of C-1 chemistry. Both CO2 and CH4 are very stable molecules, and they are difficult to be activated. Especially, the adsorption competition and the thermodynamic restriction of them on the catalyst surface are the two main factors to limit co-conversion efficiency. In this mini review, the adsorption mechanisms and conversion paths of CH4 and CO2 are focused, and the reaction conditions of the co-conversion are summarized. This mini review provides the ideas and references for the design of multifunctional catalysts which can realize the co-conversion of CH4 and CO2 and effectively improve the conversion rate and the selectivity of target products.
