Expression of TRIM56 gene in SARS-CoV-2 variants and its relationship with progression of COVID-19

Our finding indicated the high and low reduction of TRIM56 mRNA expression in Delta and Omicron BA.5 variant, respectively. Conclusion: Further research is needed to characterize the impact of TRIM proteins on the severity of COVID-19.
