New manuscript evidence for the transmission of the Theodosian Code

Two late antique fragments preserved at the Papyrussammlung of the ONB in Vienna (P. Vindob. L 128, papyrus, and P.Vindob. L 95, parchment, both written in B -R uncial) are described and edited here for the first time, as well as referred to, with different degrees of certainty, as two witnesses of the ex integro version of Codex Theodosianus. Both of eastern origin and provenance, they contribute not only to increasing the number of direct witnesses of the Theodosian compilation, but also to the knowledge of its dissemination in the pars Orientis.
