STUDY OF Cr ION ADSORPTION BY COMPOSITE SORBENTS BASED ON NATURAL MATERIALS AND WATER TREATMENT SEDIMENTS

摘要
During the purification of natural water for use in household needs, technogenic waste is generated - water treatment sludge, which is mainly stored in municipal solid waste landfills. These technogenic wastes can be used for reclamation of disturbed lands by creating composite sorbents based on natural materials and technogenic waste. The article presents the results of studies of the sorption of heavy metal ions Cr3+ and Cr6+ by composite sorbents based on natural materials - peat, diatomite and vermiculite, as well as man-made waste - water treatment sludge from the Western filter station in Yekaterinburg. Natural materials and water treatment sludge were mixed in various proportions to determine the best component composition. Studies have shown that composite sorbents can be used in the process of developing environmental protection measures during the environmental rehabilitation of disturbed natural ecosystems.
