Abstract
This paper proposes a metasurface with ultrabroadband, low reflectivity, and high polarization rotation efficiency (PRE). The proposed metasurface is consisted of three layers of metal patches and four dielectric layers. By adding another medium with a dielectric constant close to 1 between the two layers of Rogers RT5880 medium, the reflectivity below -10dB and the PRE above 99% are finally achieved in the range of 6-16GHz (the relative bandwidth is 90.9%). Compared to published designs, the proposed polarization converter can efficiently convert the linear polarization of broadband electromagnetic (EM) waves while maintaining low reflectivity.
