Simulations and Measurements of Spontaneously Initiated Brillouin Scattering in Optical Fibers
2022 EUROPEAN CONFERENCE ON OPTICAL COMMUNICATION (ECOC)(2022)
Abstract
Using a stochastic model, we simulate the spontaneously initiated Brillouin scattering in a single-mode optical fiber. In comparing our model with measurements, we find that the model successfully reproduces both the characteristics of the stochastic time traces and the resulting spectra. (C) 2022. The Author(s)
