Jean de rouen and military architecture

This article seeks to explain how Jean de Rouen came to settle in Coimbra as well as to revise his 'second period', not as a phase of stylistic decadence but rather as a greater interest in the social aspects of Vitruvian 'architectura': good works ('evergetism') as well as a utilitarian project, instead of the search for grace and Beauty. The aqueduct of Coimbra is attributed to him.
