Technological and scientific prospection on the application of artificial intelligence in therapeutic interventions

Considered a technology that breaks with existing models on the market, artificial intelligence (AI) is an area of science that proposes, through the fusion of technologies, simulate human-level intelligence on machines. The aim of this study was to conduct a technological survey on AI associated with therapeutic interventions in health. For this, the following descriptors were used: a) "artificial intelligence" and "therapeutic". In the patent databases the prospecting showed significant results highlighting the Questel Orbit with 112 documents. As for the countries with the largest representation, the USA is the largest patent depositary. With regard to the technology domains involved with AI, medical technology predominated with 59 patents followed by computer technology (50). In the 2016-2018 triennium there has been a jump in AI patent filing demonstrating that its application in therapeutic intervention has been expanding in recent years.
