Solubility Measurement and Correlation of Dihydroxylammonium 5,5'-Bistetrazole-1,1'-diolate (TKX-50) in Four Pure Solvents and Three Binary Solvents at Temperatures between 298.15 and 333.15 K

The solubilitydata of dihydroxylammonium 5,5'-bistetrazole-1,1'-diolate(TKX-50) in four pure solvents (water, formic acid, acetic acid, andethanol) and three binary solvents (water + formic acid, water + aceticacid, and water + ethanol) at temperatures ranging from 298.15 to333.15 K at atmospheric pressure were measured by the equilibriummethod. The experimental data in pure solvents were correlated bythe van't Hoff equation and the modified Apelblat equation.It was found that both of them could obtain the good correlation resultsaccording to RADs, RSMDs, and correlation coefficient (R-2). The solubility of TKX-50 in binary solvents was correlatedwith the (CNIBS/R-K) equation, the van't Hoff-Jouyban-Acreemodel, and the Apelblat-Jouyban-Acree model. For thebinary solvents studied, all of the models provide a satisfactorycorrelation.
