摘要
IHPL with cisplatin and mitomycin c in addition to gastrectomy provides an attractive adjuvant option for patients with locally advanced gastric cancer. However, data on the extent of the systemic absorption of cytostatic agents are scarce and warrant further investigation. Essentially, evaluations of the plasma and urine pharmacokinetics of cisplatin are needed taking into account the well known nephrotoxicity of this drug when given intravenously. In three patients, we performed analyses of the pharmacokinetics of cisplatin which revealed a systemic absorption of about half of the dose applied during IHPL. Nephrotoxicity was analysed by nephelometry and occured early within one week after IHPL. Further analyses have to confirm a possible correlation of the extent of the systemic absorption of the drug and the resulting nephrotoxicity.
