•A comprehensive investigation of the chemical compositions and bioactivity of Oviductus Ranae and Rana chensinensis ovum.•About 138 compounds have been identified from Oviductus Ranae and Rana chensinensis ovum.•The relationships between the chemical compositions and anti-fatigue effect of Oviductus Ranae and Rana chensinensis ovum have been illustrated.•The anti-fatigue markers of Oviductus Ranae and Rana chensinensis ovum have been revealed using an integrated strategy.
