摘要

•An activated biochar/MnAl-layered double hydroxides composite was prepared.•Mesoporous structure was formed due to the introduction of LDHs particles.•The adsorption capacity for tetracycline by K-BC-LDHs reached 1477.67 mg·g−1.•Complexation, pore filling, and ion exchange were the main adsorption mechanisms.•K-BC-LDHs showed high adsorption performance toward other pollutants.
