摘要
The emergence and spread of drug resistance is a problem of public health concern 18 worldwide. This phenomenon resistance to antibiotics but also to other 19 antimicrobials such as, antivirals, antifungals, and antiprotozoals. 20Antibiotic resistance is currently one of the greatest threats to global health, food 21 security and development identified by the World Health Organization. It In conclusion, understanding the spread of resistant pathogens and developing new 88 therapeutic options is key to preventing and controlling infections by these challenging 89 pathogens. In addition, improvements in diagnostic and prognostic methods may also 90 help to better detect these pathogens, characterize their mechanisms of distribution and 91 predict the outcomes of infections. Also understanding the mechanisms of antimicrobial 92 resistance, virulence and adaptation to stressful conditions is important for preventing and 93 controlling infections caused by these microorganisms. In addition to resistant bacteria 94 and fungi, future insight should also consider viral and protozoa infections. Altogether, 95 an integrated strategy is required to fight the health and economic challenges that 96 infections by resistant microorganisms represent. 97
