摘要
Abstract The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) Assessments, Thought Leadership, and Learning Project has been working to synthesize promising practices and identify and adapt the most appropriate tools to assess risks and evaluate initiatives to strengthen resilience to the effects of climate change. A main objective of this work is build and test a robust methodological toolkit to support improved decision-making processes for investment in CCA in development programming. The research identified a set of four complementary qualitative and quantitative assessment tools designed to engage project stakeholders at community and regional levels in different agroecological contexts. This chapter will discuss the effectiveness of the tools as applied in two USAID Feed the Future projects Ethiopia. While the study focused on a set of technical interventions for CCA, the findings suggest that it is equally important to invest in the enabling conditions that contribute to uptake of interventions.
