摘要
•Deer-Vehicle Collisions (DVCs) are common in Missouri, occurring every 2.4 hours.•DVCs are a threat to motorists since they often result in property damage, bodily injury, and sometimes fatalities.•DVCs are mostly seasonal and time-sensitive, not random events.•DVCs occur near natural and/or artificial corridors (animal crossings).•DVCs can be reduced by alerting motorists using flashing road signs at hotspots.
