Facile and scalable fabrication process of electroluminescent filament with high luminescent efficiency

•A facile and scalable fabrication process of electroluminescent filament via wet-spinning.•This EL filament has special two-electrode design, metal wire as core electrode and Ag sputtered layer as sheath electrode.•Almost all EL phosphors were excited and the filament shows high luminous efficiency.
