•We established a multi-level CES indicator framework to understand the CES in urban green space.•Interactive activities, health benefits, and aesthetic values are widely perceived indicators.•The mainly perceived CES exhibits consistent changing trends across seasons and user groups.•We identified the indicators’ co-occurrence to provide CES policies in urban green space.
