Facile synthesis of bis-1,3-dicarbonyl compounds using inert dichloromethane as a one-carbon source
Tetrahedron Letters(2023)
Abstract
A simple and convenient procedure for the preparation of valuable bis-1,3-dicarbonyl-substituted methane compounds and their derivatives has been developed using inert dichloromethane as one-carbon source in good to excellent yields. The advantages of this protocol are mild reaction conditions, easily scalable and good functional group compatibility. Moreover, the use of cyclic secondary amine as the promoter avoids the presence of transition metal catalysts and oxidants. (c) 2023 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
