Abstract
Digital economy (DE) has piqued the curiosity of researchers and academia's. In contrast to the thriving envi-ronment, this field's knowledge is criticized for being disjointed. While previous works established relevant theories links between digital economy and other related ideas, there is still a dearth of thorough understanding of the intellectual structure of cutting-edge digital economy (de/DE) studies, impeding future study in this area. To address this gap, the research conducted a thorough evaluation of the literature, employing bibliographical linkages and content analysis techniques. This article identified five streams of current digital economy research based on 136 studies that reflect the core and most recent knowledge in the field (novelty in science, structured DE, area growth, theorization and contextualization, and creativity and entrepreneurialism). Through thorough study and debate of these streams, suggestions for further studies were made.
