We would like to thank Calvache et al for their interest in our manuscript.1 Their letter lists essential talking points to make the EW-AIP checklist more robust in its real-world application. We agree that expanding standardized imaging reports to include diagrams that map anticipated regions of highest surgical difficulty is paramount in reaching the ideal of preoperative staging. We applaud their work to improve communication between diagnostic centers and the operating room, and offer an additional solution to their list: surgically-trained Maternal-Fetal Medicine subspecialists (MFMs). Prenatal PAS diagnosis must go beyond confirming or ruling out the disease.American Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology MFMPreviewWe read with interest the paper by Gatta et al.1 where they test the performance of the EW-AIP sonographic checklist to identify patients with placenta accreta spectrum (PAS).
