Effect of Nd:YAG laser capsulotomy on graft endothelium after penetrating keratoplasty

•Posterior capsule opacification (PCO) is the most common long-term complication of cataract surgery.•The current treatment of PCO is Nd:YAG laser capsulotomy.•It has been shown that Nd:YAG laser capsulotomy performed after routine cataract surgery can affect the corneal endothelium.•There is a higher rate of endothelial loss after Nd:YAG capsulotomy in eyes with keratoplasty compared to normal eyes, and an increase in CV value, which is an indicator of endothelial morphology.
