Changes in Healthcare Utilization Among Medicare Beneficiaries With Diabetes 2 Years Into the COVID-19 Pandemic

•Healthcare services were reduced among persons with diabetes during the COVID-19 pandemic.•The decline was larger in the initial months of the pandemic but persisted through 2021.•Changes in utilization varied by age group, sex, race/ethnicity, and urbanicity.•The increase in telehealth visits did not compensate for the decrease in in-person visits.
