Abstract
We present a genome assembly from an individual male (black needle fly; Arthropoda; Insecta; Plecoptera; Leuctridae). The genome sequence is 536.3 megabases in span. Most of the assembly is scaffolded into 13 chromosomal pseudomolecules including the X sex chromosome. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled and is 17.6 kilobases in length.
