AMH could be useful surrogate for PCOM in large data sets, where transvaginal ultrasound is not feasible, to aid the capturing of women with typical PCOS characteristics. AMH measurement from archived samples enables retrospective PCOS diagnosis when combined with oligo-amenorrhea or hyperandrogenism.
