In recent years, a psychophysiological perspective on physical activity, exercise, and sports research 13 has become more popular. Given the strong connections between psychological and physiological 14 aspects, as well as mental fatigue and diseases in reality require a psychophysiological explanation in 15 addition to a psychological one. Moreover, the human movement and sports performance can also be 16 affected by psychological factors, wherefore the regulation of physical capabilities is significantly 17 influenced by the psychophysiological system. It is possible to explain how physical activity and 18 exercise insights are controlled and managed by pacing behavior, decision-making, self-regulation, and 19 effort perception. This research topic's goal was to discuss the theoretical and methodological 20 assumptions of the psychophysiological perspective on physical activity, exercise, and sports. This research topic showed that to comprehending the intricate interplay between the mind and body 58 during physical activity, exercise, and sports a psychophysiological approach can be seen as facilitator. 59This approach acknowledges the interdependence of psychological and physiological elements and 60 their potential influence on both sports' performance and general health. Understanding the function 61 of stress and physical demands in physical exercise is crucial for comprehend the motor behaviour.
