Assessment of autonomous smart wheelchairs for disabled persons using hybrid interval-valued Fermatean fuzzy combined compromise solution method

•A systematic model to analyze main criteria for assessing the autonomous smart wheelchairs is discussed.•A hybrid decision making method is proposed to assess the autonomous smart wheelchairs problem.•Some interval-valued Fermatean fuzzy (IVFF)-Dombi weighted operators are proposed.•New similarity measure and criteria weighting procedure are developed with IVFF information.•A case study of manufacturing company to produce advanced autonomous smart wheelchairs is presented.
