Injectable multifunctional DNA hydrogel for accelerated wound healing

•Developing a dual-functionalized DNA hydrogel dressing with a cytosine-rich strand and FKN aptamer.•The FKN aptamer promotes immune cell recruitment and increases M2 macrophage concentration around the wound.•C-Ag+-C bridges in hydrogel prolong the in vivo release time of Ag+ and provide a durable antimicrobial activity.•The DNA hydrogel accelerates wounds to prematurely transform from the inflammatory phase to the proliferative phase.
