•Continuous flow synthesis of Ag@PEDOT-DAAQ-TFPFlow in less reaction time and at low temperature than two-step batch process.•Enhanced photocatalytic activity for the flow synthesised composite than the batch synthesised one.•High H2 evolution under visible light using Ag@PEDOT-DAAQ-TFP nanocomposites from plastic waste.•Photoreforming of plastic waste (PET and PLA) to value added products.•Highly efficient for photocatalytic Cr(VI) reduction under visible light irradiation.
