摘要

•Aspects related to water consumption of P. peruviana were evaluated under different managements.•P. peruviana vegetative growth is favored by high temperatures.•Mulching reduced Kc values of P. peruviana in all phenological stages.•The Kc of P. peruviana can be estimated by means of NDVI.•Recycled paper mulch reduced soil evaporation and water consumption by the P. peruviana crop by 30.6%.
