Prevalence and risk for symptoms of PTSD among survivors of a COVID-19 infection

•The participants of the study were the COVID-19 survivors of the first pandemic wave in Wuhan, China.•The propensity score-matched method was used to analyze the risk factors of post-traumatic stress disorder among COVID-19 survivors.•Four associated risk factors of post-traumatic stress disorder were identified, which were the severity of COVID-19, fatigue, COVID-19 related stigma and poor sleep quality.•The study had a large sample for 1541 COVID-19 survivors.
