Luminescence properties of red phosphor YVO4:Eu3+, Ba2+

Solid-state reaction can resoundingly compound phosphors Y0.95−xBaxVO4:5%Eu3+ (0 ≤x ≤ 0.10). The solid samples could be recognized isomorphs. Their luminescent performance can be researched under UV and VUV stimulation. Managing at 619 nm, a powerful expansive absorption could be increased by integrating Ba2+ into the lattices of YVO4:Eu3+. Stimulated by 254 nm or 147 nm, phosphors of Y0.95−xBaxVO4: Eu3+(0 ≤x ≤ 0.1) demonstrated powerful red light emitting at around 619 nm according with the electric dipole 5D0 -7F2 transition of Eu3+. With doping of Ba2+, the luminous intensity of Y0.95−xBaxVO4: Eu3+(0 ≤x ≤ 0.1) increased and then reduced, the best luminescence intensity along with integration of 5 mol% Ba2+.
