摘要

•Pipe vibrates transversely only when internal pressure or flow velocity is large.•Natural frequency of liquid conveying pipe is related to velocity and pressure.•Analytical solution of transverse vibration of pipe is consistent with FE solution.•When β⩾0.4, negative influence of transverse vibration of pipe is prominent.
