Abstract
Though Numerical Rating Scale (NRS) pain scores are often used to assess response to pain treatments, global ratings of improvement and satisfaction such as the Patient Global Impression of Change (PGIC) scale allow the participants to provide a composite report of their experience (Dworkin 2005). Previous research found a moderate correlation between PGIC and NRS scores (Perrot 2019). Other studies have found similar correlations between PGIC and other methods of assessment (Rampakakis et al, 2015). In this study, we determined the correlation between PGIC and change in pain scores following SCS implants and trials.
