ID: 222114 Effects of High Frequency Spinal Cord Stimulation as Measured by Autonomic Tone and fMRI

We investigated high frequency spinal cord stimulation (HF-SCS) efficacy in 1) reducing autonomic output as measured by galvanic skin response (GSR) levels during anticipation of and exposure to noxious thermal stimuli in while undergoing functional magnetic resonance imaging of the brain, and 2) altering subjective experience of pain as measured by the Short Form McGill Pain Questionnaire (SF-MPQ-2) and a modified Brief Pain Inventory Short Form (BPI-SF).
