摘要

•The unification of efficient removal of impurities and preparation of high-value products from PG was achieved.•A chloride-free binary system of Na2SO4 and H2SO4 was designed.•Co-crystalline P was completely released and dissolved by phase transition in the binary system.•α-HH shape and size were controlled by seeding.•The formation of regular large α-HH weakened physical adsorption and increased P leaching.
