摘要
•The AlCrFeCoNiCu0.5 high entropy thin films were deposited on stainless steel 304.•A microstructure evolution was revealed through various characterizations.•A semi-coherent interface between the FCC HEA thin film and the steel was built.•The hardness of the films is 2–3 times of that of uncoated SS304.
