摘要
Amyloid cardiomyopathy (ACM) is a progressive disease caused by abnormal protein deposits in cardiac tissue. Causes include immunoglobulin light chains (AL) and transthyretin (ATTR). Orthotopic heart transplantation (OHT) remains definitive treatment for end-stage heart failure patients. Mechanical circulatory support (MCS) may be considered as bridge to transplant but is typically limited by right ventricular dysfunction and anatomical suitability. This study aimed to evaluate outcomes of OHT and MCS in ACM.
