Novel anthraquinone α-aryl-α-aminophosphonates: Synthesis, spectroscopy and imaging by confocal laser scanning microscopy of trematode Opisthioglyphe ranae

•New anthraquinone α-aryl-α-aminophosphonates have been synthesized.•Structures of the novel fluorophores have been confirmed by 1H-, 13C-, 31P NMR spectroscopy and high-resolution mass spectrometry.•Synthesized compounds have been found to exhibit solvatochromic properties.•Obtained compounds were applied as dyes for detailed and rapid bioimaging of trematode Opisthioglyphe ranae using CLSM.
