The relationship between the nutritional literacy level and heart health attitudes of adolescents

•Nutritional literacy is a crucial factor in promoting and maintaining healthy eating practices.•The increase in adolescents' nutrition literacy level positively affected their heart health attitudes in the study.•It was shown that 88.7% of the adolescents had intermediate attitudes about heart health.
